Yup, more birthday celebrations. This time round, it’s a surprise for the birthday gal. Which means MORE fun for us as we schemed around the preparations.

A Surprise for Makiko
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to savour Creolean food. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I soon realised that I could very easily fall in love with Creolean cuisine.
Last week, a galfriend emailed me an interesting recipe that tickled my curiosity. Together with some galfriends, we decided to give the recipe a try over the weekend - with some minor tweaking of our own (we didn’t like the creamy topping and decided to substitute with vanilla ice-cream).
X’mas Wish
Since my birthday’s over, V-day’s over, the next occasion I am licensed to receive pressies would be X’mas this year. Yeah, I know it’s still a loooonnng time to go but hey it’s never too early to start on our X’mas list, right?

It’s called the Todd English Cordless Immersion Blender and the entire ensemble consists of :
- Base unit
- Blender foot
- Charging station
- 24 oz. blender jug with lid

Thing is, I cannot get it from anywhere in this country and the guys who sell it will not ship outside of the US. Dang! Will hafta be extra nice to my American friends.
