Good riddance to bad rubbish

Never mind that U took gym time away from me.
Never mind that U took the enjoyment out of food for me.
(everything tasted so bland and dissatisfying!)
Never mind that U burnt me up so bad that rest eluded me.
Never mind that U got my Sweetheart pretty bad too.

.
All of the above, and more - U worked hard at keeping me down and out. Didn’t ya!

.
BUT……I am surrounded by wonderful folks who pinged me daily to ask if I am doing OK. If I need any food delivered to me. If I need any errands to be done. If I need a ride to the doc’s. The offers totally and completely overwhelmed me. I had to reject them all ‘coz all I really needed was rest and strength to fight you off.

.
The one offer I did accept was an offer to cook me some homecooked seafood over the weekend. I repeat, homecooked seafood! How could anyone with a sane mind (top physical health or otherwise) reject THAT???

Trust me, it was a lot more fun than it looked! ;) It was quite an experience trying to chase a crab all around my kitchen-top and all the time trying to avoid its mean-looking claws.

.
As the evening wore on, I felt stronger and happier. Maybe it was the company, maybe it was the promise of a yummilicious dinner or maybe I am just tired of your company. I knew it was time for you to go. And time for me to get back into the game again.

.
I smiled up at God and thanked Him for all the wonderful, caring folks he sent my way. And a strong resolution to never take them for granted, EVER.

.
As for you ….. ZAI JIAN. SAYONARA. BAI-BAI. Don’t come back. I will not miss you.
