Dracula Attack!

About a month ago, I wrote about this.

.
Today, another friend pinged me to complain that he has been getting nightly visits from the Cimicidae family. Only when he started losing precious sleep and getting rudely woken up 4-5 times a night by serious bouts of itchiness did he realise that he’s being sucked dry every single night by those damn draculas! Go here to view an interesting youtube on how smart these little buggers are when it comes to finding the perfect spot to suck our blood bank dry.

.
Folks say KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. Do not doubt the truth in that phrase! Go read up on these mini draculas at this site which was created by the industry’s top expert, Richard Cooper.

.
Just to give you an idea how the enemy looks like, go here. And save the “How kewt!” comments. Trust me, they will not seem so cute when they are sucking you dry as you recuperate during the night.

.
Read here to find how to keep those blood suckers away.

.
Also, if you are like most of the folks I know, you will have stuff stashed under your bed to maximise room space. More so if you live in an apartment and have *very* limited storage space. BIG mistake!

“Clutter is a bed bug’s best friend and a pest management professional’s worst enemy”
.
So the next time you wanna chuck that book or magazine under your bed, think again. You’re actually building a nest for those blood suckers. Might as well be donating blood to the GH Blood Bank and plus, you won’t be scratching yourself silly for days on end.

.
Now, would you prefer to be a Sucker or a Suckee???

Hahaha! So you prefer to be the suckee lah, A… Ok Ok, I will go scout around for other ‘pests’ who are willing to suck on an alcoholic. Your blood will make them drunk ah?? :P
And NO, you don’t need to clarify your point. I know what you mean but kids may read this. :PPP

This is interesting read! I haven’t seen it myself but I heard friends here got it and it’s real nasty!

    Yes, yes… laugh it all off… :p

I had my entire bed dismantled, and all its wooden components, mattresses (YES, I use TWO mattresses, one on top of the other), pillows and boulster sunned for two hours.

It’s amazing what a bit of hot sun can do. The li’l buggers came out in CROPS from the crevices of the mattresses. I caught 4-5 on one, and TWELVE on the other. All blood-saturated. Oh, did I mention the white eggs all along the corners of the mattresses? That was a sure-enough sign that the mattresses HAD to go. Thankfully, the bed itself was bug-free. So were the pillows and boulster.

And then there was the mandatory vacuuming of my bedroom, plus spraying lots of Shieldtox along the entire wooden skirting of the wall adjacent to my bed.

It has been a peaceful night’s sleep. I hope it will last!

Eeyerrrr! U can actually see those buggers creeping out of your mattress under the sun ah??!?! Definitely best to burn those mattresses and get new ones. See lah…this is what you do when you don’t wash up properly after certain ‘activities’ in bed. :PpppPppp
