Me & My Mee Goreng - revised

“I told a lie”

That’s actually a certain someone’s favourite line when he needs to correct himself on a previous point. His dad told him once that he shouldn’t say that coz it’s not like he intentionally lied but he can’t seem to shed that line. Somehow, that line got stuck in my head too.
.
So, to plagiarize his line for this post - I told a lie.
.
Remember this post when I wrote about my favourite places to go for my mee goreng in Penang?
.
Well, I’d like to correct # 2. It’s super sucky now. Sweetheart packed it for lunch today and we both agreed that it sucks BIG time. Not even average. Wayyyy below average. After 3 mouthfuls, I had this urge to dump the rest into the bin. The entire plate is still staring at me now as I type this. Am feeling abit guilty about not attacking it like I usually do with my mee goreng but sorry lah, I just cannot take SUCKY food.
.
So officially, I’d like to replace # 2 in my list from Bangkok Lane to Jelutong Market.
.
It’s sad though, that not many folks have written about it. I can’t find any flog entries on it at all :( Since my man does not fancy sotong, my # 1 is not really his # 1. Which means that my (revised) # 2 is actually his # 1. So, folks…if you have not tried it, you should go check it out.  The stall is located at the corner of the road that leads to the Jelutong Market and it’s only open in the evenings. I think it’s there from 6pm to 11pm.
.
I believe there’s only one mee goreng stall at the Jelutong Market at night. So, it’ll be rather easy to find. Just take note that it’s directly opposite the lane from the Economy Beehoon stall. Next to it is the stall selling bread and kuih-muih.
.
Sorry no pictures to share. I must remember to take some pix the next time I go but it’s been awhile since I’ve been there. Sweetheart usually pack for us to eat at home. No thanks to my crazy night concall schedule lately.
.
Back to the grind now. So, so tired from the crazy hours I’ve been keeping these days. Can’t wait for Friday!
