Memory Lane

My cuz emailed me this gem a few weeks back.
.

I took a look at the picture and went “OMG OMG OMG!!! I so remember this picture!” It was one of our cousin’s 3rd birthday. I still remember that day like it was just yesterday. We were all super annoyed at our parents who INSISTED on dressing us up in identical denim clothes (as you can see, 2 of my cuz sisters got away with their own cute little dresses) and then dragged all of us over to a photo studio to pose together-gether.
.
To adults, “Soooo kewt!”
To kids, “Annoying ler!!!!”
.
So to those of you out there who are parents or future parents, think again before you dress your kids up in identical clothes and make them pose for pictures. It’s blardy annoying, okay! As kids, all we were interested in was to be left to our own devices - be it to a corner to lose ourselves in our fantasy storybooks or to the backyard to ride our bicycles. NOT to pose and look ‘kewt’ for the adults! :p

.
Anyway, back to the gem of a picture. I so, so, so LOVE the ‘beh-song’ looks on our faces. Guess we were not much of a camwhore back then, huh? Who’d think we’d grow up to be such professional camwhores?!!?!? *LOL* Can you guess which one is me???
.
Suddenly, I feel like going back to my parents’ place to dig out our old photo albums and scan some of those priceless pictures we took together. As kids, we were all super tight. Then, Life happened. We all grew up and drifted apart. All busy chasing our own dreams.
.
Sad, hor?

..and now that you have your own kids, Mich…be mindful not to put them thru the same ordeal, ya! ;)

Altho I am tempted to say that *ALL* parents will go through the ‘dress-kids-in-cute-clothes-n-pose-for-cute-pix’ phase.

    Good luck, kids!!! :D
