Crème brulée

After the many sinful trips to ECCO and the constant teasing from the owner/chef about how super duper easy it is to bake one of our favourite desserts, we decided to put our experimental hats on and try baking our very own crème brulée.

.
This was the recipe we picked from the many available online. Mainly because it details the steps clearly and it’s nicely-illustrated.
.
And here are pictures taken of the end-product.

I know. I know.
Not very pretty but trust me, it was YUMMIIIEEEEE!!!
.
Top : The freshly baked custard (a little burnt ‘cos we got sidetracked yakking away)
Left : The torching! (thx to the x’mas prezzie from one of my darling galfrenz last year)
Right : The end-product (one is already fully torched, one is just partially torched)
.
The taste - Mama Mia!!!
.
Can’t wait for my ramekins to be delivered (yes, I have the *best* KL galfriends who do my IKEA shopping for me!) so that I can bake it again. I had to improvise by using my ceramic soup bowls over the weekend.
.
Be patient, folks ;) It’s definitely on the menu for the next homecooked dinner at my pad.
