Cameron Highlands = Strawberries = Scones

Strawberries? All over the dang place.
Scones? Ye Olde Smokehouse (YOS).

It’s almost like a tradition to all Cameron Highlands visitors. Must have the above 2 before heading home.

Write-up on YOS :
"…this delightful resort evokes all the charm of English country home architecture…whisk you away to a leisurely and tranquil time…"

All that English charm must’ve gone to the heads of the locals who work there coz they are sooo full of crap! Talk all slangy, uppity facial expressions, snooty attitude. Total BS lah!

Maybe it’s coz more than 50% of their customers are Ang Mohs, maybe it’s coz of their centuries old reputation. Whatever it is, it sure made them super LC. Which, again, is total BS.
.
Maybe becos we were non-ang mohs. Maybe abit noisy (but SO WHAT?!), abit excited coz it was the virgin visit for 2 in the gang, and also abit loony coz it was our weekend away from all things serious. Didn’t order an entire buffet from the menu. Just the scone set to be shared and some hot soup. At the end of the day, we were STILL paying customers.

We eat, drink and sh!t that maxim on weekdays. So, we expect the same thing over the weekend. Fair, no?

So, in exchange for the snooty service rendered to us, we decided to annoy them further by hanging around longer and camwhoring at their premises. So sue us.

Once we felt we were done outdoors, we moved the camwhoring activities indoors.

The whole time we were standing here and there posing for the pix, the staff was standing at the corner glaring at us. Like we care! So, MORE camwhoring!!!

After we camwhored kau-kau, then only we paid for our bill and left that craphole. I don’t know abt the others but I am for sure NOT going back there should I find myself up in the highland again. I found out later there are other places which serve scones too.
